Catherine Powers could not be happier to be back with the Aaron’s team for 2007. Catherine graduated from Columbia University where she rowed on the crew team. She competed for the first time in 2000, upgrading to a category 2 racer by the end of the season and enjoying regional success. In 2004 she quit her job in New York City homeless services and left the city that never sleeps for Southern California, racing with a team there and becoming more focused on cycling. She moved to Boulder, Colorado for the 2005 season and found cycling-compatible work driving a school bus. Catherine is also a graduate student in bilingual education and teaching English as a second language at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
