Aaron’s/L5Flyers Junior Racers Win at Tundra Time Trial
The Aarons/L5Flyers Junior Racing Team (affectionately known as “The Cutters”), recorded a fist full of firsts at the 9.5 mile Tundra Time Trial at the Silver Comet Trail February 18, 2006. It was a cold, wet morning in Hiram Georgia. Time trialists were being fired off the start line in 30 second intervals, the later starters leaving a trail of mist as they departed into the rain.
The Cutters team consists of 12 boys (they are presently recruiting girls), ages 11 to 18. Five raced in the Juniors category at the Tundra Time Trial, getting their 2006 season off to a good start. They racked up a number of firsts at the event:
First team event of the 2006 season;
First time trial for four of the juniors;
First junior overall, Joey Rosskopf, racing age 17; Second 15 year old, fifth junior overall, Ben Waldon (Ben was at a slight disadvantage because it was raining when it came to his turn to start);
First 14 year old, sixth junior overall, Zach Stanley;
First Aarons/L5 Flyer to win any category, Joey Rosskopf (above);
