The turnout was amazing for employees, fans and racers. The kids’ race began at 4:00 PM with 40 kids racing to be the Aaron’s Champ! The 5 and under category sped down the street, while the 6 and up category took a longer race around the block. Congratulations to all the children who participated!! You are all winners!
For the Employee Race, the excitement among employees and fans was fierce as the racers lined up along the start line. As they took off, the group sped down the road and around the first curve. Soon after, the leaders separated from the pack. The group rounded a sharp corner and went into a sprint up the final hill towards the finish line.
For the men, Ted Limmer, last year’s champion, overwhelmed the competition and defended his title for another victory, crossing over the finish line first. For the women, Donna Blackshaw, ruled the road for a triumphant win in the Ladies’ Division.
