It’s no secret that in just its second full season of existence, L5Flyers has made a tremendous impact on the local cycling and racing scene. The success of the team in 2005 was due in large part to the support provided by its title sponsor, Aaron’s Corporate Furnishings.
In an effort to thank Aaron’s, L5Flyers provided two small tokens of appreciation to President Ed Quinones and Vice President Don Lange. First, Ed, who has quickly embraced the sport of cycling and has been routinely riding the trails close to his home in Orlando, was provided with a team issue Bianchi Boardwalk for him to use while training with the L5Flyers in the Spring. Word has it that there is going to be another employee race in May 2006 that Ed has every intention of winning.
Don, who has also become a fan the sport and follows the racing scene and the L5Flyers results intently, was presented with a framed Aaron’s/L5Flyers Cycling jersey and plaque for his office. The plaque summarizes the successful season as follows:
