Aaron’s/L5Flyers Returns with Presenting Sponsor: New England Financial

The Aaron’s/L5Flyers Cycling Team is pleased to announce that 2009 will include a new presenting sponsor, new industry sponsors and several new additions to the roster.  Atlanta based Aaron’s Sales and Lease Ownership returns as the team’s title sponsor for the fifth straight year.  Aaron’s continued partnership with the team is grounded in its relationship with its employees and community service events.  For 2009, Aaron’s is launching a Healthy Living Challenge to its employees and is looking to its involvement with the cycling team as a catalyst for this project.

The team is also excited to announce that New England Financial has signed on to be the 2009 presenting sponsor.  New England Financial, a Met Life Company, serves the financial needs of high-net-worth families, business owners and professionals in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. NEF focuses on moving its clients closer to realizing their dreams by helping them achieve financial independence and success.

“We are very excited to become part of the Aaron’s/L5Flyer organization,” said Jeff Bulvin, Managing Partner of New England Financial. “We looked around at grass roots cycling organizations and found that for brand exposure and core values, Aaron’s/L5Flyers matched perfectly due to their commitment to community service and representing their sponsors in a positive and professional manner.”

Returning sponsors include the number one bike shop in Atlanta, Outback Bikes.  Outback Bikes has sponsored the team since its inception and has been integral to its success.  Now with two locations, including their new store in Hamilton Mill, Outback Bikes continues to partner with the team for several community service projects, including blind tandem rides in conjunction with the Atlanta Center for the Visually Impaired, the Tour de Cure, and the Aids Ride.  Other industry sponsors include Hincapie Sportswear, Zipp Speed Weaponry (wheels, bars, and stems), SRAM drivetrains, Rudy Project (eyewear and helmets) and Ridley Bikes.

Along with all the new and returning sponsors, Aaron’s/L5Flyers made some roster additions picking up some of the area’s top Master’s racers, including the Georgia State Road Race Champion, Kirk Corsello.  “This is our first year focusing on Master’s racing, which is becoming more and more relevant as we get older,”  said Chad Strickland, President of Aaron’s/L5Flyers.  “It was also important for the new presenting sponsor, New England Financial and anytime you can pick up another state champion, you have to do it.”  Aaron’s has previously had 12 state championship jerseys.
