| In order to assist all members to better serve
the interests of those who participate in cycling,
L5Flyers Cycling Team has adopted this Code of
Conduct.
Each member of L5Flyers cycling team pledges
to:
- Practice good sportsmanship and conduct
myself in a professional manner at all cycling
and noncycling
events where I am representing L5Flyers Cycling
Team. This includes any time I am wearing
the team jersey or at any event where I am
registered
as an L5Flyers team member, regardless of
whether I am wearing the team jersey or not,
while I
am at the event venue or on the course.
Unacceptable behavior
includes but is not limited to:
- Physical
abuse to any person while riding
or at an event
- Use of foul language towards
any
person while riding or at an
event
- Obscene gestures directed to
any persons while riding or
at an event
- Making disparaging remarks
regarding other members,
the organization, management, or
sponsors
- Malicious actions
on the bike toward any persons
- Wear L5Flyers Cycling Team and sponsors’ clothing
proudly. As a valuable advertising “vehicle” for
L5Flyers Cycling Team sponsors, I will wear
the current, complete team uniform (including
jersey
and shorts) whenever possible in training,
and without exception in all races.
- Obey all traffic regulations as enforced
by all relevant local authorities while on
individual or group training rides or as instructed
during
sanctioned races. This is to ensure my safety
and the safety of others. Also, as a L5Flyers
Cycling Team member, I am conscious of my
role as an ambassador to the non-cycling and
recreational
cycling communities and I recognize that
traffic law violations can be extremely detrimental
to
the team and the team’s sponsors and
may result in the revocation of all sponsorship
benefits
for the entire team.
All members demonstrating a manifest unwillingness
to meet these Codes of Conduct will be subject
to suspension or membership revocation from the
L5Flyers Cycling Team.
As a member of L5Flyers Cycling Team, I acknowledge
that I have read and understand this Code of
Conduct. I further acknowledge that I agree to
abide by this Code of Conduct and that my membership
is contingent upon this understanding. |
