L5Flyers Racing, Inc. is a 501c(7) not-for-profit cycling club based in Atlanta, Georgia.  Membership in L5Flyers is open to the cycling community in and around the metro Atlanta area for a small annual fee.  All L5Flyers members will receive:

• a discount and other member benefits at Outback Bikes (Little 5 Points),
• an opportunity to purchase team clothing at cost once a year,
• an opportunity to participate in the team Race Reimbursement program and Point Series Competition, and
• other member benefits provided by sponsors throughout the course of the year.

General L5Flyers Membership Guidelines:

A $45.00 annual fee is payable upon member enrollment for the first year and before November 1st of the following years.  With this membership, members will be provided with the opportunity to purchase team clothing at cost.  Due to ordering restrictions, we can only offer a full selection of clothing items to members who sign up before November 1st of each year.  Members who signup after November 1st will be able to purchase clothing at retail price through Outback Bikes.

For those L5Flyers members who meet certain participation levels in races, group rides, and community service and demonstrate their genuine support and loyalty to the team, L5Flyers may provide a greater level of support. These riders will be rewarded with a higher level of sponsorship, which may include race fee offsets, greater discounts on cycling products and other incentives as applicable.

Every L5Flyers member must abide by the L5Flyers Code of Conduct located on the main member page of the team website.

Race Reimbursement Policy:

Eligibility Requirements

L5Flyers members must complete ALL of the following requirements to be eligible for Race Reimbursement:

1. Hold either an annual USCF or NORBA license as “Sponsor Name/L5Flyers,”
2. Wear the current L5Flyers team kit in all races,
3. Participate in a minimum of 5 approved USCF sanctioned mass start races (road races, circuit races or criteriums – time trials are excluded),
4. Volunteer for the team race event either on the day of or prior to the event,
5. Participate in regular L5Flyers group rides, including the Wednesday and/or Sunday rides meeting at Outback Bikes,
6. Participate in at least one L5Flyers approved community service event,
7. Participate in sponsor events, as requested, which may include store openings, photo/media shoots, and/or other L5Flyers approved event, AND
8. Comply with the L5Flyers Code of Conduct.

Race Reimbursement

Eligible L5Flyers members who meet the above referenced requirements from January 1 to November 1 will qualify for race reimbursement. 

The L5Flyers Race Reimbursement Policy is as follows:  L5Flyers members placing in the top 3 places in a USCF mass start road event will receive race fee reimbursement up to $25, and members placing in the top 10 will receive half reimbursement up to $15.  

After a member qualifies for the race reimbursement policy, he/she will receive reimbursement according to the policy (up to $25 for top three places and $15 for top ten, but also not to exceed the actual race entry fee) for the 5 races required for eligibility AND for the remaining USCF/NORBA sanctioned mass start races of that calendar year.

Track Race Reimbursement:

Track race reimbursement is only available for USCF sanctioned track events, which includes races such as the Festival of Speed and Regional Championships but not Wednesday night races.  Reimbursement for track races will be considered for overall omnium placings on a race-day basis, and not for individual events within a race day.  Exceptions may be granted for categories where overall omnium placings are not awarded.  In these instances, the fee entered for the individual event must be calculated as follows:  total entry fee for the race day divided by the total number of available events.  For example, if the race day fee is $30 and there are 3 available events, then the fee entered for each event is $10. 

USCF Omniums:

Omnium placings may be entered as a means for members to accumulate additional points toward the Point Series Competition.  Omnium placings will NOT qualify for race reimbursement.  Entry fees for omniums should be either spread across all the events for the omnium, or the entry for each event within the omnium should be used, so long as the sum of the individual events does not exceed the omnium entry fee.

Cyclocross Race Reimbursement: 

Cyclocross races are not eligible for race reimbursement.

IT IS THE L5FLYER MEMBER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO LOG HIS/HER RESULTS AND PARTICIPATION INTO THE TEAM WEBSITE.  TEAM MEMBERS WILL NOT RECEIVE CREDIT FOR EVENTS NOT LOGGED INTO THE WEBISTE – NO EXCEPTIONS!  A CUTOFF DATE FOR ENTRY OF EVENTS WILL BE ESTABLISHED FOR EACH SEASON, TO PRECEDE THE TEAM END OF YEAR PARTY.  NOTIFICATION OF THE CUTOFF DATE WILL BE POSTED ON THE TEAM WEBSITE, AND SENT VIA EMAIL PRIOR TO THE CUTOFF.  PAST THE CUTOFF DATE, ADDITIONAL ENTRIES WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.

IMPORTANT!!!! 

At the end of the season, race reimbursement will be provided based on the available team budget.  Race reimbursement is not guaranteed.  As with all team benefits, race reimbursement is a privilege and will not be awarded to members who fail to participate in the program in good faith or violate the Code of Conduct.

AGAIN L5Flyers members are responsible for reporting their races and events through the My Events section of the L5Flyers website.  You will not get credit for races and results that you fail to report on the website.

RELEASE

In consideration of L5Flyers Racing, Inc. allowing you to participate in team events as a member, you hereby release and forever discharge L5Flyers Racing Inc., its members, officers, agents, and volunteers, and all team and event sponsors and their agents, servants and employees from any and all liability arising out of your participation in, or travel to or from, any cycling event.  You agree that you are fully aware of the inherent dangers in any cycling event, and in travel to and from such event, and expressly assume all risks associated with cycling, including but not limited to collisions and/or falls in connection with such event.

Additionally, you hereby agree that you will hold L5Flyers Racing, Inc., its members, officers, agents and volunteers, and team and event sponsors, and their agents, servants and employees harmless and indemnified from any and all sums, claims, or judgments whatsoever which may be assessed against the L5Flyers Racing Inc. as a result of or as a consequence of your involvement in or in traveling to or from any such event.

You certify that I have read and fully understand this rider agreement, including the release, assumption of risk and indemnification agreement.
