L5Flyers is a USA Cycling sanctioned club cycling
team based in Atlanta, Georgia. With over 70
club members, L5Flyers is one of the largest
and most successful road racing teams in the
Southeast. The L5Flyers club strives to support
and develop competitive amateur road racers,
promote safe participation in competitive and
recreational cycling, encourage a healthy lifestyle,
and improve our local communities through volunteer
work. Most of L5Flyers efforts focus on road
cycling, but we are also involved in other cycling
related disciplines such as mountain biking,
cyclocross, and track racing. L5Flyers is also
strongly committed to fulfilling the goals of
its sponsors and partner charities.
Though most members live in close proximity
to the team's base in Atlanta (Little 5 Points),
the team has attracted members from all across
Georgia. Club members have varied levels of experience
and individual goals from a men’s category 3 team, who race throughout the country,
to club members who simply ride for recreation
and fitness.
Regardless of their backgrounds, all L5Flyers
team members are committed to advancing the sport
and making a positive difference in their community.
L5Flyers was featured as USA Cycling’s
Club of the Month in June 2005.
